The image for this print was originally part of a poster to advertise New York band Sonic Youth's legendary free concert on the the beach at Brighton-a UK coastal city situated in East Sussex.  This event took place on November 8th, 1985 where the band played a stunning, often hallucinatory, set that featured songs from their (then) just released album Bad Moon RisingThe original poster can be viewed on the inner gatefold of the withdrawn "official bootleg" release Walls Have Ears (1986) while footage of the concert can be viewed online.

For this version (created to commemorate the Savage Pencil print series collaboration with HSAC) the original drawing has been sourced from the artist's personal archive and silkscreened by Alan Dickey from About Being Seen on chrome card stock - in an attempt to mirror the psychedelic punk vibe that burned bright during that freezing November afternoon in 1985.
