Haight Street Art Center's

Permanent Collection Gallery

On display Thursday through Sunday, 12pm-6pm, throughout the year. First floor gallery.

Since its opening in 2017, the Haight Street Art Center, with the support and encouragement of Ann and Roger McNamee, has slowly but surely amassed a world-class collection of rock posters, prepress materials, and original art. Over the years, many of these pieces have found their way into numerous exhibitions at HSAC, but it has always been our goal to one day give our permanent collection a gallery of its own.

Exhibitions here are intimate and eclectic, diving deep into our collection to illuminate and educate. In addition, exhibitions will change frequently, to ensure that the collection does not languish in the protected but inaccessible confines of a flat file. At the time of their creation, rock posters were meant to be seen by as many people as possible. That imperative to spread the word is just as important to us today.

We hope you enjoy the exhibitions that will take place here over the coming years. And if you would like to see a favorite piece or have a suggestion for a show, please let us know!
