SEE RED WOMEN's Q&A and Print-Making Workshop with Founding Members

Saturday, March 1st, 11:30 AM – 4:00 PM

In celebration of Women's History Month, join us on March 1st for an event honoring See Red Women's Workshop, an all-female screen-printing collective active in the UK from 1974-1990. All three of the members of See Red Women's Workshop—Pru Stevenson, Suzy Mackie, and Anne Robinson—will be joining us for a panel discussion and poster-making workshop. Pru Stevenson and Suzy Mackie, the two surviving founding members will be traveling from the UK to join us in-person. Alongside the members of See Red, two local artists— Alexandra Fischer and Melanie Cervantes—will join to talk about their experiences as artists. The panel will be moderated by Grendl Löfkvist, Director of Type West at Letterform Archive.

Following the panel, a poster-making workshop will be led by our Studio staff and volunteer, where participants will screenprint and customize multiple designs.

This is a FREE event. Everyone is welcome, but please respect our intention. This event is a space for female-identifying people to express themselves.

Event Schedule:

11:30 AM - 12:00 PM: Welcome & Coffee

12:00 - 1:00 PM: Panel Discussion—featuring original founding members, Pru Stevenson and Suzy Mackie, & local artists, Alexandra Fischer and Melanie Cervantes!
