John Muir Elementary School Print Demo

For the second year in a row, we partnered with our neighbors at John Muir Elementary School to provide students a special opportunity to explore the Haight Street Art Center and learn about the process of screen printing.

Guided by art teacher Andrea Wlodarczyk and poster artist John Mavroudis, fourth grade students designed a collaborative mosaic design. Next, they visited the Haight Street Art Center Print Studio to watch this design be screen printed. At the end of the day, each student got to take home a screen print of the their classes' collaborative design.
