Haight Street Art Center Returns to Stern Grove Festival

 

On August 2nd, 2026, Haight Street Art Center popped up at Stern Grove Festival for an afternoon of music amongst the trees, featuring Violent Femmes and Tune-Yards, with KALW's DJ Lady Ryan on the decks.

We will be back August 15th and 16th for Stern Grove's Big Picnic Weekend. See you there!

Forever Grateful Golden Gate Park Opening Events & Free Grahame Lesh Concert on September 7th

Forever Grateful, Golden Gate Park opens September 5th with a full weekend of festivities running through Labor Day, including a free concert by Grahame Lesh & Friends on Monday, September 7, in Robin Williams Meadow, adjacent to the exhibition space.

Forever Grateful Opening Events

 

Join us Friday, July 3rd, from 12-8 PM for extended hours on opening day of Forever Grateful at 215 Haight Street, San Francisco. On Saturday, July 4th, join us for a free performance by Grahame Lesh & Friends, featuring Alex Jordan, Jason Crosby, Burt Lewis, and Danny Luehring, behind the art center in the Alchemy courtyard from 2-4:20 PM. The center will open at 12 PM, so come check out the exhibit before the performance and join us in celebrating the music, the art, and the community the Grateful Dead made possible.

Film Screening and Dance Party!

 

Haight Street Art Center is excited to announce a film screening and dance party celebrating Lavender Lounge, the groundbreaking public-access series, and Here, Queer, and On TV, the new documentary short about the show, premiering at Frameline50.

Join filmmakers Cassandra Herrman and Kelly Whalen, Lavender Lounge founder Mark Kliem, and original cast and crew for a screening, intimate conversation, and celebration of a show and a community that became a space for visibility, resistance, connection — and joy.
