Thursday, May 14th- A Conversation with Gina Schock and Martha Reeves-Moderated by San Francisco Chronicle Art & Culture Critic Tony Bravo. From the revolutionary soul of Motown to the punk-infused rise of new wave, Reeves and Schock will reflect on artistry, activism, creative risk, and what it meant, and still means to make space for women in music on their own terms. Through stories from the road, the studio, and the front lines of cultural change, this intimate conversation explores legacy, rebellion, friendship, and the enduring power of music to move people and movements. 6 pm - 8 pm. Tickets $25.
