Victorian Alliance: Lower Haight and Hayes Valley House Tour

Victorian Alliance: Lower Haight and Hayes Valley House Tour

The Victorian Alliance 45th Annual House Tour takes place on Sunday, October 21, from 1:00PM to 5:00PM. You can purchase tickets here.

This self-guided walking tour features eight historic homes and within the Lower Haight and southern Hayes Valley neighborhoods. Featured in this year’s tour are four San Francisco landmarks, including the Nightingale House and the historic Woods Hall Annex on Haight Street, now the home of the Haight Street Art Center. Explore these historic neighborhoods:

  • Homes never seen on a historic tour before.

  • Enjoy refreshments and gift shop at the Haight Street Art Center.
  • See the historic mural inside Woods Hall Annex, hidden for years.

This year’s tour brings new energy to our tour, with more adaptive reuse of historic spaces, as well as embracing new artistic sensibilities. VA’s mission includes educating communities on the value of their historic architecture and interiors and preserving them in ways that accommodates new ideas.

There is much to see while strolling the historic tour route with an illustrated program as a guide. Street parking is limited; public transportation is highly recommended. Use the Haight Street #6 and #7 bus routes (accessible from BART) or the Fillmore #22 to reach the tour.

Proceeds of this annual fundraiser benefit The Victorian Alliance Grant Program which has awarded more than $380,000 to worthy historic preservation projects since its founding in 1973.

Online ticket sales are available on our website, and a mail order form may also be downloaded from the site.
