The Haight Street Art Center is honored to announce an upcoming exhibition in commemoration of the passage of the 19th Amendment. On August 26 (the day that the Amendment was passed into law), HSAC will unveil in an outdoor display and release for sale online the work of 22 women and non-binary artists.
The exhibition is now on view in the Garden Gallery 7am-9pm and online 24/7.
Dystopian Dreams brings together the work of Dennis Larkins and Winston Smith, two lowbrow, pop-surrealist masters who have fearlessly explored the hilarious and poignant absurdities of America’s utopian dreams and often dystopian realities.
Update: Exhibit extended to November 4, 2017
In celebration of Haight Street Art Center’s grand opening and the 50th anniversary of The Summer of Love, HSAC’s inaugural exhibition, “The Art of Consciousness,” features more than 90 seminal psychedelic poster works from 1965 to 1967.
